The Geneva Motor Show has accidentally scooped once of its own debuts, the redesigned 2014 smart fortwo cabriolet.
Though the single image that appeared on the Geneva show's website yesterday (found by Road & Track) has been heavily retouched, it clearly reveals an early press image of the redesigned city car built by Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler.
The most striking changes visible are, obviously, the eyelash-like LED strips around the all-new projector headlamps. Gone are the squinting lamps of the current fortwo, a look that dates back about two decades to early design studies. In addition, the fortwo gains a more prominent set of three grilles, although its engine is expected to remain rear-mounted.
