Lucid Motors, formerly Atieva, has just released the first official image of its all-electric sedan wrapped in a unique camouflaged finish.
Codenamed the Atvus, the brand’s first model will debut in some form at the Los Angeles Auto Show and was recently pictured alongside a BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, two of its proposed rivals.
As the main image below shows, the Atvus is significantly smaller than both these German offerings, but the company is reportedly aiming to offer similar cargo space to the S-Class and 7-Series alongside smaller exterior dimensions. In reality though, it will directly target the Tesla Model S...
...While visiting the company’s facility recently, Motor Trend learned that the model will be offered with two electric motors, similar to a selection Model S variants. All told, the available front motor will provide 400 hp while the rear will deliver 600 hp, making for a round 1000 hp, seemingly more than enough to give the Model S P100D a run for its money.
It has also been revealed that the chassis of the Atvus will be constructed mostly from lightweight aluminum while the door skins will be made from carbon fiber...
