Looks like the new Fiesta has to watch its back, one of its main rivals in Europe just got better (that includes getting bigger and roomier).

It's not perfect, but I think the all-new 2018 VW Polo actually looks good.
Nice proportions, clean lines, you know...
...kinda like a Mercury Milan.

What some see as boring others, like me see as refined. I wouldn't buy one, but I think it's a good looking car.

Re: All-new VW Polo launched

Others might think it's boring but there is an incredible level of 'sameness' in trendy designs that spread across all mainstream manufacturers. Ford is no exception but as far as trendy designers go they seem to be doing a good job keeping up or taking the occasional leadership position (Fusion/Mondeo). I think VW and Audi have done a brilliant job with their specific design language, it's very unique and impossible for others to replicate. There is a reason VW has such a commanding lead of the industry which continues to grow.

Or cheated..
It's interesting that the Golf and current old Polo are still doing well in Europe even after Diesel-gate.

Grown up it is, it moves to VWs modular MQB platform.
It gets a 94mm (3.7 inch) longer wheelbase (now 100.9 in) than the outgoing Polo which has slightly more rear legroom & headroom than the Fiesta to begin with.

Most of the Fiesta's all-new competitors have grown slightly, have longer wheelbases and offer more interior room, I wonder why Ford didn't bother with the all-new Fiesta.
