Car Commercials - best/worst

was gonna post this in THETavern but figured it'd get buried quickly & it is generally car related...

2 commercials have grabbed my attention recently

Worst: MercedesBenz
"I Love You I Love You I Love You I Love You ILoveYouILoveYouILuvU..."
makes me wanna Puke - maybe cuz it's played waaaaay too much on some channels
if their rape/pillaged/&sold-into-slavery treatment of Chrysler hadn't put me off them, THIS WOULD
Link for those with a stronger stomach than me
Oh Gawd - there it goes again while typing this

BEST! Hyundai
Duh Duh Duh
esp. the Thus Sprach Zarathustra(2001 theme) one I saw first
< Autoblog
I Love It I Love It I Love It I Love It I Love It I Love It ILoveItILuvIt!

Re: Car Commercials - best/worst

I can not remember the car, but my favorite commercial showed an older model car morphing into the newer model. I like commercials to show the interior, and highlight the features. One I will never forget is the one for the Chrysler Cordoba which had Ricardo Monteblan pointing out the wonderful "Corinthian Leather". Ford's Taurus print ad is weak. The car is too small in the ad, and it stresses safety too much. Let's see an agressive close up.

I still like the Ford Truck commercials with Mike Rowe in them because they have a little humor in them and still gets the point across.

That morphing car rings a (faint) bell - Chrysler/Mopar?
& I hope they've got something special planned for the Taurus/TauruX campaign that should debut soon.

today's installment:
Saw Honda commercials for the Accordian Coupe & Sedan - interesting the sedan's was so dark you could barely make out what it looked like...
AND they NEVER showed the front!!!

update:
" Hold on tight to your dream "...
while we abandon everything we ever stood for!

Saw a post likening the new Accord to a Buick
__wlb_______ovl__
110.5 - 198.1 - 2005 Buick LaCrosse
109.0 - 194.6 - 2004-5 Buick Century
110.2 - 194.3 - 2008 Accord
107.9 - 189.5 - 2004-5 Accord (didn't have 06-07 #'s handy)

which leads me to speculate if the enlargement + questionable style
will lead to a repeat of
106.0 - 188.0 - Taurus 86-91
106.0 - 192.0 - Taurus 92-95
108.5 - 197.6 - Taurus 96-05 (still think a 'large' part of the decline was due to outgrowing its segment)

&
I'm guessing but wondering if the new Accords cost twice as much as the first ones, so they figured...

Re: Car Commercials - best/worst

even tho I'm the only one posting these,
maybe some lurkers are enjoying them,
or if No One's reading them, I can post what I want (muahaha)
& seeing as I can't get the song outta my head since seeing it...

this is a bit of a stretch*,
it's even a GE commercial, not GM as I thought at first,
http://www.splendad.com/ads/show/147...My-Breath-Away

Quote:
"Workers around the world who work on GE trains, and the employees
at the GE Evolution Series plant in Erie, Pennsylvania all sing to the tune
of "Take My Breath Away". Some even have drums and other instruments,
while others do somersaults, to make it look like a music video."

excuse for posting:
* Think it'd make a GREAT car commercial!!!
got images of guys &or gals (Jill!!!) polishing & detailing their 'babies' & *ahem* getting-in to it
...with the very last "Away" being drowned out by the engine as the car accelerates off into the sunset

we need more commercials that capitalize on an aficionado's 'feel' for his machine!

I love the CTS commercial but my all time favorite was the Un-Pimp your Auto from Volkswagen. That is still on my Ipod Touch.

The Hyundai Big Duh was annoying but was well planned to stick in your head.

Mike Rowe and his commercials were great.

The car morphing sounds like the Mustang commercial but could be wrong, or a different car all together. Now I'm on a mission to find it and post it.

Proud leasee of a 2015 Ford Focus EV. MPG = infinite
