the CD4+3 Fwd+Rwd Poll

maybe a crazy idea
but

since the coming larger/wider CD4+3 version of the FusionMondeoS-MaxGalaxyEdgeMKX's CD4 platform will be part of what looks like it's going to be the most widely proliferated architecture in the world-according-to-Ford,
and since that level of shared-co$t profitability *could* make even more versions ea$y to do...

...Could the CD4+3 be a FAwd+RWD capable platform???
finally allowing the engine to be placed longitudinally as well as transverse!

...obviously inspired by my hope that somehow RWD will be offered by Lincoln & the AuFalcon,
besides whatever does or doesn't happen with the nextgen Mustang...

[ ] YES...it's gotta be true, it's just gotta

[ ] NOPE, never gonna happen

note: Not a multiple choice this time
but who-voted-what WILL show

Re: the CD4+3 Fwd+Rwd Poll

we know CD4+3 will be "different"...
...at first it was thought it'd be 3 inches longer (but that's not enuf)
...then it was said it'd be 3" wider
...but what IF it's CD4plus3 LETTERS ... + R. W. D.

&
crossreference
+ Falcon +

Ooooooooo
+3 MODELS!!!

Re: the CD4+3 Fwd+Rwd Poll

made a quickie chop and added it the first post

the FalconThunderTaurusBird
for starters:
Australia (all Rwd?)
... Falcon
... - LPG
... - 2.3 4cyl
... - 2.0EB
... Thunderbird
... - 2.7EB "Powered by LINCOLN"
... - 5.0v8
USA
... Taurus
... - 2.3 4cyl Fwd
... - 2.3 Hybrid Fwd
... - 3.5v6 Fwd
... - 2.3EB Fwd/Awd
... SHO
... - 3.5EB Awd
... Thunderbird Rwd
... - 2.7EB "Powered by LINCOLN"
... - 5.0v8

you'll have to use your imagination for the Continental (for now)
but
the top engine would be a 5.0EB

Re: the CD4+3 Fwd+Rwd Poll

I thought I remember reading a long time ago that D4 was capable of an engine placed longitudinally but this is CD4+3 and I don't think this platform can do it.

I haven't heard enough about CD4+3 to know anything for sure.
Even the name I've only heard from an online friend.

S'ok if you don't want to vote there, I just want to know if I did the "Ask Friends" thingie right

Andrew L, it is in fact possible.

To answer the question, I vote other; not 100%, not maybe, but very likely/possible.

THANKS for voting and commenting, Falc'man
& somewhat belated Welcome to FiN...

...are you by any chance IN/from Australia? (noticed your comment in the AU Job Cut thread)
I'd love to know what Aussies would think about this Poll's "solution" being implemented.

hmm/ty/poo...
when I go to the [url=http://www.facebook.com/questions/383910381675094/?qa_ref=qd]Link, I only see one vote, mine
If convenient, can you post the link that shows your vote? are there any others?

other weird thing is Mark Phelan commented but that only shows on my page, not on the question page

(in other facebook 'news' - my page is being converted to timeline wednesday
...against my will)
