The Lincoln Motor Company is debuting its all-new Head-Up Display on the Lincoln Continental. The system - centered on the windshield above the steering wheel – is customizable to meet the needs of each driver, allowing them to select information they’d like to see in the Head-Up display or in the instrument panel cluster.

...imho this really needs to be retro-fit-able!!

Re: Lincoln HUD Debuts

I am still a bit disappointed with it as it does not appear to be as high quality, and high definition as that which is offered in lower level BMW's. I do enjoy the level of personalization , and wish an HUD was optional on my car.

Looks good overall, and it's about time.....Lincoln.

As for quality comments based on a promotional youtube video, I would rather wait until I actually see it in action.

Every sub-$50,000 car on the market will have to answer to the Ford from now on, no matter what badge it brings to the table.

I like it I am glad they are filling in missing features the competition has. I like how it shows the navigation and what looks like the radar/distance for the car in front.

It'd require a dash change, so not retrofitable.

1. The Continental looks great in white!
2. Interesting how they're developing tech to help keep drivers eyes on the road while at the same time running 90% of what used to be controlled by intuitive buttons through a touch screen that requires you take your eyes off the road.
3. I'm completely baffled by the fact that both Harley Davidson and Indian are putting touch screens on their motorcycles. As if the distraction inside a 5 star crash car isn't bad enough let's put them on two wheelers!!

Finally! It's about f n time. This is fantastic. Although I take issue with the "exclusive to Lincoln" nonsense. It sounds like they are betting that the traditional Lincoln customer has no idea that the technology was pioneered almost 30 years ago by the competition. Savvy buyers will know different.

Re: Lincoln HUD Debuts

I like that I can display lots of info - like the fuel range (miles to empty). Haven't seen that much info on a HUD before..

I have HUD on my Audi and it's a feature I don't want to miss.
