MKT chop(s)

[/

for MaxLegroom & Emdee in the main MKT thread and using suggestion-requests from here & elsewhere
MKT-sedan
took a bit out of the body's height
moved & blended the roof
lengthened the trunk
& added a bit of rear bumper
oh!, and shortened the Star-Spear on the flank just a touch...
doorhandles? we don't need no stinking doorhandles - they're touch-sense & motorized!

If anyone wants to use this chop as the basis for another one, PLEASE DO!
also
if anyone wants to add their chop to this thread, DITTO!

Re: MKT chop(s)

I personally think that looks much better than the real vehicle.

Looks awesome!

Re: MKT chop(s)

That's great, and very much what I had in mind. It is very much something I could imagine myself driving.

Re: MKT chop(s)

thanks, guys!

I was hoping to do more chops - esp. my idea for a distinct Limousine model,
but in preparation for that I had to try to make the MKT black (duh),
but that's hard to do with my curent software & skill-level,
so here's what I came up with - just don't know if it'll work as a basis for what I want to do.

maybe once we get RealWorld pix of a black MKT or >>>TuexedoBlack<<<

Re: MKT chop(s)

I love the MKT to death, but the only parts I like is from the front to the radius of the second wheel. From there on, I don't care for the side profile after the radius of the second wheel, but the back of the MKT is beautiful. I love your chop, but something is still irregular in the back end to me, I think it's the rear window.

for the chop, I agree completely about the window.
was thinking of giving it more slant but then I'd easily get carried-away (*luv* fastbacks)
for the real concept, I prefer to see it for real < pout > (they prolley won't bring it to LA rant rant rant)

from a few pix, there seems (to me) to be some rather subtle tho crucial sculpting around the rear w-arch and under the "chamfer"-line
...hope I'm not imagining it

Re: MKT chop(s)

*bump*

found myself posting these chops elsewhere today
due to all the "GlobalRwd Is Dead" hub-bub
&
tho I don't believe that for a minute...
...maybe a temporarily multi-platform approach is developing
in which case
an E386 (MKS's big brother) will FINALLY get built

Thumbs up Re: MKT chop(s)

^ Great work 2b2. I really like it's low, sleek profile.

Re: MKT chop(s)

hey 2b2, our chops are very similar! i think i posted these somewhere else, but you asked for some here, so here you go!

i called mine the MKL for Long wheelbase sedan, or the new Town Car.

i also made an even longer wheelbase version:

i also chopped it into a '60s type station wagon, the MKW:
