Talking Save(/repatriate) MOPAR!

reading speculation elsewhere about what could happen to Chrysler-&-remaining-bodyparts,
specifically how Chrysler might HIRE someone to build cars for them
+ crossreferencing
ShakeUP/off &
200 & Dart are Dead,
here's my own suggestion for an American partnership...

TC300

TC200

stretch the S's wlb a few inches for the "TC300"
and shrink the frontend for a "TC200".

Both would be ordinary-Hybrids & Plug-ins,
respectively Rwd- and Fwd- petrol with electrics on the other 'axle'
= my Virtual-Awd fix(ation)
imho
the piecework could help Tesla's balancesheet too
& afaik the old Nummi factory has plenty of room
then

when the Tesla III comes out, build a Chrysler "TC100"

very later (& obvious?) addition...
reverse the scheme above with the Pacifica replacing the X's body

other proposals are welcome to share this thread
.

Is Tesla buying Chrysler? If not, why to design the new Chrysler like Teslas?

re: Save(/repatriate) MOPAR!

^ the suggestion is in response to the rumor that Chrysler is going to outsource the production of the 200 and Dart to some other manufacturer (I threw in the 300) unless the remaining American components of FCA, other than Jeep, are simply going to be killed off...

...afaik Tesla isn't in a position to buy anyone. Tho some kind of arrangement with Chrysler/FCA, from a joint venture to merely contracting construction, just might work for both companies(?)...and make Mopar a bit more American again,
even giving their cars a more premium foundation than FIAT

FCA + Mazda, I really think it's going to happen!

re: Save(/repatriate) MOPAR!

^ comment I saw elsewhere was that Mazda (like most other mfgs) would then be building their own competition

But if they're bought by FCA what's the difference? I don't believe there to be a Dart or 200 replacement. I believe FCA could purchase Mazda. Mazda would then have the benefit of the FCA dealer network. 3 and 6 would just be FCA's entries to the compact and midsize segments.

re: Save(/repatriate) MOPAR!

^ ah...
...I'm still on the out-sourcing idea
(would anyone really want to get close(r) to Sergio?
or clean up after him when he's gone?)
+
afaik FCA can't afford to buy anyone
(unless someone GAVE them Mazda for free)
& then there's the Toyota(iirc) connection Mazda is being tainted with...

edit
a fwiw article at yesterday's autoextremist

.

What if FCA's next Dart and 200 were rebadged 3s and 6s; it'd still be good money flow for Mazda.

Re: Save(/repatriate) MOPAR!

guess I just see "irreconcilable differences" between Maz(oomzoom)da & anything Mopar
( at least post-Virgil Exner )
while
I'm starting to ponder icon/iconoclast similarities for Tesla/-/Jeep

I assure you, Elon Musk has no plans of working with FCA in any way.
