1. Domestic Production
Additional production of the Mazda2 (known as the Mazda Demio in Japan) bound for Europe and increased production of the Mazda6 (Atenza), Mazda5 (Premacy), and Mazda3 (Axela), among other models, led to a 28.8% increase in total domestic production compared to February 2007.

Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.9%, up 0.3 points on February 2007, with a 3.3% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.4 points) and a 5.0% total market share, which is up 0.3 points over last year’s result.

Exports increased over the same period last year, up 28.0% over February 2007. This result is due to brisk sales of the Mazda2 in Europe and Oceania and the Mazda6 in Europe, as well as additional CX-7 exports to Europe, and increased shipments of the CX-9 and other models to North America.
On a market basis, exports to Europe, Oceania and other markets (the Middle East and Asia) were healthy.
