Wheelbase: 109.8 in Length: 193.7 in Width: 72.4 in Height: 57.9 in Curb weight: 3250–3550 lb
     < 5 out of 5

loading the usual suspects now...

edit:
initial impressions
- could they have possibly picked a worse time to get into supersizing?
- maybe they could import the euro/ROTW model too? or
- they're gonna completely lose their complete current customer base

That's a gain of 7 inches in length and 4.5 inches gain in the wheelbase!!! We all grew that it's gonna be bigger than the Euro and JDM models, but I'm shocked at how big it is over the last generation while remaining on the CD3. I guess the CD3 is more flexible than we thought, ranging wheelbases from 105.3 inches to 116.2 inches in the Mazda 8/MPV.

^^ seriously
&
having read the articles, I'm serious that they should add the euroMz6 - maybe just the hatch ;)

this is the size I'd wanted for the Mx9 flagship
but I never wanted it to replace the 6

hate to think how big next year's nextgen 3 will be

sarcastic-joke:
Mazda finally found a replacement for their zoom-zoom-zoom jingle
it goes
FEE-FIE-FO-FUM
re-;)

maybe Ford could swap their 33% of Mazda for Quirk'n'Dork's umpteen million "F" shares
kill 3 birds with one stone?

IMO, this is almost a completely new model from the JDM/Euro Mazda6. It shares only 10% of parts from the ROTW models. This should have been a Mazda 9 or something. Sorry for the folks who wanted to get this and order JDM bumpers, I guess it won't fit as this Mazda 6 is 2.4 inches wider.

well, the Mercury-Focus Poll expires tomorrow (actually later today-Friday)...

since you broke the news, Shawn
would you like to do the honors with a

POLL/PETITION: should Mazda come to their senses and import the euroMz6 too?

or should I? >>> I did >>> LINK

edit
I mean it's great *really-great* that the mags had such nice stuff to say about the "super6"
but BY ITSELF, it doesn't make any sense in the current gas fiasco

re-edit
thought of another joke
the Rest-Of-The-World got the "real Mazda6"
we got the Mz666 < number of 'The Beast'

I'm still ticked you can't get a manual tranny with the V6. I loved my '04 V6 with the MTX. It was a great car to drive and if they would have given me the option of AWD and a V6 with MTX I would have traded my '06 Mustang in for one.

Now if Ford can give me a '10 Fusion with 280+ HP, AWD and an MTX I still might trade. Get close to 300 HP and I can live without the MTX.

MazdaUSA.com < link has a Pdf available with the new Mz6's specs - - not quite an OrderGuide, no color info
(direct link to .pdf - might work) & (attached - think I'm getting addicted to attachments)

haven't read thru it, just barely skimmed
but
the length is slightly even-longer per Mazda (2/tenths of an inch longer than a Lincoln LS was - please Vote)

194.5 - 109.8 - 72.4 - 57.9

here's the Convenience Pkg (opt on Touring, std on Grand Touring)

all have an 18.5 gal gastank (range approx. 550 miles!)

Std on even the cheapest base model
-lighted locking glovebox
