Kasey Kagawa is pissed. The Hamster took out a GT500 for review, tossed it on a chassis dyno and came back with 447 horsepower instead of the 500 claimed by Ford. However, it seems from the show as if this was rear-wheel horsepower, uncompensated for the drivetrain's parasitic loss, while Ford rates the motor at the crankshaft. Either way, the methodology wasn't remotely qualified. Kasey, who is possibly the biggest Top Gear junkie we know, isn't taking this lying down. He's refusing to pirate the show until TG apologizes. We'll probably watch anyway while swallowing salt grains, but it does seem that the show's leaning farther and farther toward entertainment these days, whereas before, it pretty much struck a perfect balance between seriousness, epic hoonage and irreverance. Thoughts, children? Davey G.

I have said it on GMI and I will say it here. Jeremy of top gear is just a British comedy show built around cars.. There is nothing serious that ever comes out of it.
He may like the so called "european feel" of BMW.. but, I wonder what that bumpy ride would do for you btw Barstow California and Flagstaff Arizona.. There is mile upon miles of open desert roads.. with concrete pavement... would you rather be in an M5.. hopping along or a highway cruiser like a Lincoln Navigator?

Cars built in America are a reflection of this countries driving condations...
I wonder how many G's you can pull btw John Wayne Airport and LAX on the 405...

Would you rather be in a cushy .. Cadillac DTS with super cold A/C or would you rather be in a Lotus Elise?.. stuck in traffic on the car pool lane??
I tell u an M5 will not do you any good here.. Last I checked it does not have VSTOL lift capabilities
