Kim Jong Il Observes Launch of Satellite Kwangmyongsong-2

Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the General Satellite Control and Command Centre to watch the process of launching the experimental communications satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 on Sunday.

He acquainted himself with the preparations made for the satellite launch.

After being briefed on the satellite launch, he observed the whole process of the satellite launch at the centre.

At 11:20 a.m. the satellite Kwangmyongsong-2, a shining product of self-reliance, soared into space by carrier rocket Unha-2. It was smoothly and accurately put into its orbit 9 minutes and 2 seconds after being completely separated from the carrier rocket.

Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that scientists and technicians of the DPRK successfully launched the satellite with their own wisdom and technology, he highly appreciated their feats and extended thanks to them.

It is a striking demonstration of the might of our Juche-oriented science and technology that our scientists and technicians developed both the multistage carrier rocket and the satellite with their own wisdom and technology 100 percent and accurately put the satellite into orbit at one go, he noted, repeatedly praising the patriotic devotion of the scientists and technicians who are playing a vanguard role in the drive to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation.

Stressing the need to bring about a new turn in conquering outer space and making a peaceful use of it on the basis of the successful launch of the satellite Kwangmyongsong-2, he set forth the important tasks to be fulfilled to do so.

He met with the scientists and technicians who have contributed to the satellite launch by devoting all their wisdom and enthusiasm with ardent patriotism and warmly encouraged them before having a photograph taken with them.

He was accompanied by Secretary Jon Pyong Ho and First Vice-Department Director Ju Kyu Chang of the WPK Central Committee.

An article like this makes you realize just how immoral some people are. Does anyone believe this stuff? Even the writers probably do not buy it one bit.

The problem in NK is that they have isolated their society so much that they have no idea what goes on in the "outside world". They truly believe there that they are the center of the universe. Its really, really sick. The North Korean is a truly hostage people and they don't even know it.

Its not “North Koreans” have isolated their country. Its one idiot with his cohorts holding a people hostage.
Why do people try to escape from NK through China and take a boat back into the south?
Follow that link and see just how sickening some of the stories are.

Check this one out I just saw

Kim Jong Il Sends Birthday Spread to Centenarian

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il Wednesday sent a birthday spread to Ri Song Su, a resident in Ryongsong District, Pyongyang, on the centenary of his birth.

Born as a son of a farm hand, he was subject to maltreatment and contempt as a member of a stateless nation. It was not until President Kim Il Sung liberated the country that he could lead a happy life under the care of the motherland.

He did farm work with all sincerity to repay the country's benevolence. He has kept himself busy even since he became a pensioner. He likes bean paste and vegetable, never allowing himself to have unbalanced diet. He is moderate in living, never smoking and drinking.

He still cultivates his family garden and prepares with sincerity the aid materials to be sent to servicepersons of the Korean People's Army.

Sobe is correct about the NK people and the same thing is happening to us here in America under Obama. Kim -Jong Ill and Obama are one and the same. Sad ting is not the NK launch of the missle...that is to be expected, but Obama's lack of action to shoot the missle off the launch pad before it could be launched...Obama is placing the security of the American people in extreme jeopardy. I think we would be better off with Kim -Jong Ill and send Obama to NK. And of course we will kick in David Axelrod to complete the deal.

Indeed. I don't trust Kim Jon Il at all. Much less the fact that you can't tell whether whatever news that comes out of that wasteland of a nation is truth or lies.

Yes I am correct and you are an idiot. The Bush-Chenney cowboy foreign policy (torture and all) is what has put America in danger. Thank God Obama is taking care of it and fast.
