safety and environmental features, including i-stop -

HIROSHIMA, Japan--Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the sales
launch of the all-new Mazda Axela (known overseas as the new Mazda3)
in the Japanese market. Mazda's mainstay model has been fully redesigned and
updated with a host of new features, including the 'i-stop' engine
stop/start system. Sales commence today at all Mazda, Mazda Anfini and
Autozam dealers nationwide. Manufacturer's suggested retail prices
(including sales tax) for the all-new Mazda Axela range from 1,660,000
to 2,678,000 yen. The target sales volume in the Japanese market is
2,000 units per month.

Other than the interior colors, this looks identical to the US version. It probably offers more electronic gadgets, just becouse its for the Japanese market.
Funny, they only expect to move 2000 units a month. In the USA that would not be even 1% of the compact market.

sweet the JDM car will probably have more electronic gizmos than U.S cars but both cars will still be great

is this on sale here now? I have not seen any on US roads. At least not the hatch version.
The Nose is not particularly gainly but I love the Z06 like scoop on the hood
