PROTEUS Cars has been acquired by rival sports car manufacturer Enduro Cars. For 21 years Proteus has been a specialist maker of re-creation sports cars such as the Jaguar C-Type.
However, at last year’s International Historic Motorsport Show Enduro’s all aluminium C-Type replica was launched and now the company has taken over its rival.

Enduro is the main sponsor of this year’s show at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, and will use the opportunity to relaunch the Proteus name.
Both Proteus and Enduro brands will be represented, with the Proteus name being reserved for fully-built cars and the sale of body and chassis units, while the Enduro badge will be used for the selling of separate mechanical components.
Jaguar never made a Coupe version of the C-Type but there will be a Proteus one if the public react positively to the half-scale model which will be displayed at the show.

Why would I buy a replica while I could get a new mordern retro vehicle like the Chevy SSR
