The Ford Fiesta's highly fuel-efficient ECOnetic diesel engine is now available with higher-spec Zetec and Titanium trims.

Recent improvements to the 1.6-litre 95bhp Duratorq TDCi engine mean that ECOnetic models emit only 95g/km of CO2 and return 78.5mpg. ECOnetic models are exempt from UK Road Tax and the London Congestion charge.

Ford's spokesperson commented, "Many drivers want to drive a car with lower emissions but still want comfort, performance and an affordable price. Expanding ECOnetic across the series answers that demand, with style."

Priced from 13,895 all ECOnetic Fiestas including Edge models feature anti-skid control (ESP), air conditioning, lowered suspension, aerodynamic improvements and low rolling resistance tyres. Shift lights are also fitted to highlight the optimal time to change gear in order to maximise fuel economy.

Zetec models are priced from 14,445, adding alloy wheels, front fog lights, chrome headlight surrounds, three-spoke leather steering wheel and ambient lighting.

Finally, top-of-the-range Titanium models also include Sony DAB radio, Bluetooth plus USB port, cruise control, folding door mirrors, privacy glass, automatic interior temperature control and a perimeter alarm. Prices start at 15,645.

Buyers looking for a high-performance Ford Fiesta should try the new Metal limited edition model - a tweaked version of the Fiesta Zetec-S.
