WHAT IF
they made an EB-PIH with the 2.3EB driving just the front wheels (300hp)
plus
the Focus Electric's 143hp (for the rear wheels) & 23kWh battery pack (est 60mile range in the MKS) that with the 6.6kWh charger can fully charge in 3.5hrs

    in making a comparo-list of my MKSe "SuperEnergi" and previously specified MKE's, Energi & Electric;

    started to wonder if one reason FLincMoCo hasn't brought out an MKZ-ENergi is that they're already planning both the MKSe and MKE's??

    (which could be more ground-up engineered for electrification)

    exploring possible dimensions from regular MKZ on UP
    _ovl____wlb____w____ht________
    194.1 - 112.2 - 73.4 - 58.2 - MKZ
    197.1 - 115.2 - 73.5 - 58.2 - LWZC (Long Wlb MKZ for China)
    200.1 - 118.2 - 76.0 - 58.0 - MARK / MKS(wic)
    207.0 - 121.2 - 78.0 - 57.0 - Continental (Rwd, not on CD4+)
    ...basically just did plus3" for the wlbs
    ...then gave the Conti have the same size 'shadow' as the Navi

    phase one: nextgen MKS(wic) becomes *The MARK*

    800x400
    on facebook

    next hope to do one withOUT a grille *opening* for the "ev-MARK"
    (think I prefer switching the "ev" to the front of the Name)

    [partsbin sundae] for a quickiest 2015my MKSenergi

    if a Fwd-automatic-2.3EB isn't ready;
    there *is* the 240hp 2.0EB-auto in the MKC available as Fwd - maybe with the Focus-ST's 252hp tune?

    and for batteries, whichever is easier to fit:
    a pair of 7.6kWh from the C-Mx/FusionEnergis = 15.2kWh
    OR (my preference)
    23kWh from the FocusElectric. Would beat the ELR = 16.5kWh...

    ...be worthy of "TwinForce" with it's solo-capable petrol & BEV drivetrains
    plus contend with the power of the Tesla-S's 302hp - 362hp - 416hp

    trims:
    FREEDOM
    _(base)____$55k
    silver, black, "Guard"(subtle green) / hazelnut = 3 combos
    adaptive cruise & collision w/ brake support
    HD radio
    THX
    Nav**
    PREMIUM__________$60k
    adds
    +"PremiumWhite"* / +ivory = 8 combos
    dual-panel moonroof
    power-adj pedals w/ mem
    power rear sunshade
    rearview cam
    ELITE______________$65k
    adds
    +"EliteRed"**, +"EliteBlue"** / +ebony = 18 combos
    ?multi-contour frt seats? (and rearseats?)
    heated SW & rear seats
    park assist & BLIS
    lane departure / lane keep assist
    * ultra-pearl ___ **tintcoat-metallic

    very belated edit:
    forgot to point out that Navigation** is STANDARD on ALL trims
    because it's used for tracking charge-points
    thus improving battery usage

    just for comparo

    much rougher than I wanted but lost the right copy when almost finished. Frustration dictates...

    MKS(wic)MARK

    the only part of this that was fully intended from before starting,
    is the rear door glass = no little glass or plastic pieces yet 'rolls' down All the way;
    therefore the doors 'cut' into the C-pillar sheetmetal for easy access.

    ^ if I ever feel up to it
    for the Energi/BEV versions
    would add Tesla power-disappearing doorhandles & camera-winglets to replace the side mirrors (old rant)

    207.4 - 119.0 - 78.8 - 78.3 - 2015 Navigator

    this arrangement & pairings sound good to me
    might also consider a nextgen Flex to share the MARK & Aviator's wlb

    the 2018+ lineup is filling out nicely

    Aviator Sport & MKX Sport have 3" shorter wheelbases, lowered ride height, only most powerful drivetrains, and swoopier sheetmetal with shortest possible overhangs
    (edit:
    imho it'd be interesting if the 2 Sports had their own SHARED, exclusive frontend (grille, HLs, fascia) and TLs)

    saw a post @ BON by veteran-employee/poster theoldwizard
    about how the IntercepTaurus really needs more room
    &
    wondered about adding it to the MKS(wic)MARK's variant with its 3" longer wlb...

    ...Would that endanger the new Lincoln's reputation??
    even tho the copcar would use as much Taurus sheetmetal as feasible?

    from VinceBurlapp via mercury_1988

    and speaking of interior room & wheelbases ;
    if a 115.2" wlb can provide sufficient rear legroom for the (retail) Taurus
    (I've ridden in the MKZ's backseat &
    IMHO 2-or-3" more legroom would be AMPLE)
    perhaps for a 118.2" MKS(wic)MARK, the additional 3" can be "divied up"
    with a 1" forward move of the engine and 1" rearward move of the rearSEAT itself...
    ...leaving the door openings (structure) the same = $aving$**
    = some increased rear room, +
    = somewhat better weight balance
    ( 50%/50% "divi" is pure ballparking )

    ** afaik
    fenders, hood, rear-greenhouse need to be individual anyway
