    just my outsider-ignorant opinion but
the CD4+3 or whatever version will be used for the nextgen Explorer-or-larger Cuv will probably accommodate the 3.5EB
    so
imho a Z/X sized CD4 *could* be able to fit one

    gen1 EB's make 100-120hp per liter iirc
gen2's (not just Nanos) supposedly to go upto 140 and lately maybe 150

MKX does not compete with the ML. A MKX with close to 400 HP should however get it a great power to weight ratio and enable it to duel it out with the SQ5...heck they could even underestimate the power figures like Audi and BMW does, long as the MKX beat them or hangs with them in a straight line, itll be good

No matter how much they try, a smaller MKC will never equate to an MKX in terms of better ride or more substantial feel. Simple physics dictates that. Same then is true for a Navigator. New one gets huge improvements in ride and NVH. It already had the mass to assure it has the smoothest ride, something only a BOF design can achieve. Isolation does wonders for removing harshness.
Performance MKX?? interesting, im looking forward to what else lincoln has up it sleeves. Im also a realist and unlike many comments understand things WILL take time, but however, the near term models should be interesting. Performance models for every model avaliable might be in the near term for lincoln, well Hopefully
    350-380 HP MKX
    360-380 HP MKZ
    300HP MKC
    6.2 L 460HP 500TQ navi/ AND 5.8L (from GT500) detuned for truck duty for a rang TOPPER
    dreaming.................

Im very curious about the back of it, a bit x6?
Looking at the padding on in those shots it reminds me of the late, great Pontiac Aztec!!

As for the X6 idea, I don't think there is any way they go that route as it would drastically reduce its storage volume. When you look at how they've raised to roofline on the MKC you'll know they would never put a fast back style roof on the Edge/MKZ. And personally I'm no fan of the X6, if I want that look I'll get the car.

I just hope the new Edge has been on a serious weight loss program, say at least 500 lbs.
