True, but now they are bringing the short wheelbase van here too. Previously only the LWB van was available in the US.

    THANKS, AddisonHarlemTowing!

    if my dimensions-textfile is right,
they've significantly increased the lengths of all measurements but the Swb wheelbase:
    current TransitConnect Lwb - 114.6 - 179.33
    current TransitConnect Swb - 104.6 - 169.6

    imho
there's a big gap where offering a vehicle doesn't make sense
between one with Functional 2-rows of seating and a Functional 3-row.

The G.C-M is only about 5 inches longer than the 2-row C-Max**
I cannot believe it's 3rd row is functional (probably not safe either)
    likewise
I just don't believe the Connect-wagon CAN be both 5pass and 7pass with any kind of validity (unless the 7p is a foot'n'a'half longer ... anyone know?)

    ** unrelated/offTopic
wondering if the hybrid-only C-Max shoulda been called the "e-Max" in the U.S.
To me the courier looks too much like a fiesta.

The Transit Connect will be available in 2 wheelbases. One shorter than the current one, one longer. the longer wheelbase van has a 120.6", VS. the short van's 104.8. Overall length is 189.7 vs. 173.9. So the 7 passenger is about 16" longer than the 5 passenger. See all info at: http://media.ford.com/mini_sites/10031/14TCWagon/

Appearance is very much debatable. I think it looks way better inside and out than the predecessor.

It will have a different name when it arrives in the US? The styling isn't that bad looking. Almost like a Flex on steroids.

Ahh good to hear, I am curious to see how it does. I think these could make good conversion minivans.

I believe that it will still be quite successful even sans a hybrid variant although a hybrid variant would literally set this class on it's ear.
So this is not coming to the US?
