Re: Lincoln Goes to China with New Flagship +'pix'

^ afaik the 9speeds are F-Awd and the 10speeds are Rwd
&
"a new 2.9-liter EcoBoost V6 to replace the current base engine, the 3.7-liter V6. Not much is known about this new engine other than it is codenamed "Nano" and it could put out around 300 horsepower; the optional 3.5-liter EcoBoost is said to be receiving a bump in power, too."
imho
the anticipated gen2 EBs' 140-hp-per-liter is now stretching to 150
vroom vroom

tho I expect the top power versions reserved for 'select' models only
2.7 upto 378/405hp
2.9 upto 406/435hp
3.5 upto 490/525hp
hmm...
wonder if the 2 Nanos are distincted like the trannies, one being for Rwd??

According to Car and Driver, the 2016 Lincoln MKS will go on sale in late 2015, and it will receive notable powertrain enhancements like a nine-speed automatic transmission (a product of the joint venture between Ford and General Motors)

I think the MKC with flat sides and possibly rear 'coach doors' is more like the Rolls Royce Ghost, or the early Lincoln Continental from the 1960s.

And the Continental following the same design theme would be similar to the Rolls Royce Phantom.

if they're amateur (more or le$$) they're quite good
however
way too much MKC to be realistic (I hope)(& will re-chop**)
- front
- side sculpting un-adapted
- front of C-pillar shape un-adapted
- (is there a rear shot? I hate C&D's photo software!)
so I don't quite count-out ALL the MKZ's styling

or... the Mission?
The article said the renderings where done by C&D based upon insider information so I expect if they're being honest the render should be in the same ballpark. I like it, but think the details will be far better as, like you said, they're working mostly from the MKC concept as a starting point.

Yeah that was dumb, and then follow the rendering pictures with pictures of the MKS prototype on the new Fusion platform.

Yeah I agree about the the roof line, but other than that, from small details we can see under that black fabric, it looks like it matches. And I googled CarAndDriver renderings, most of them have been spot on with the actual car. Interesting...
