Good work, although the grille's a bit squished. Also, I think that there'd be more differentiation than that b/t the Kuga and a Lincoln counterpart, as the Kuga may become and/or is becoming our next Escape (a move which I am still undecided on how I feel about).

i could see that as a Lincoln, especially after their most recent concept, the Model C (i think that's the name-or Mark C or Type C?)-the small but wide hatchback. i think Ford is really thinking fast-forward, and a smaller than Mariner CUV could work. nice job 2B2!

minimal changes because
- I don't believe the KuGa will become our Escape or Mariner
- imho the KuGa is sooo close to a mini-MKT already
- hardest part was finding the donor pic (original, from the mother-lode of Куга sites: http://www.my-kuga.ru/contents.htm) this one already accentuated the carlike proportions

...Actually I thought I'd have to make bigger changes, but was quite happy with the semi-BMW-feel (imho) that occurred with the headlite/hood/grille mini-mods (the grille is supposed to be sorta lying flat into the hood, btw) -- really expected to HAVE TO change the fascia... it would be better/complete with different detailing(chrome) down there but think the basic shape works for Lincoln

2b2 you always have nice chops. I think you need to replace the bottom portion of the front with the gull-wing front. This seems to be a trend with Lincolns. I also agree with the Lincoln-C that it is a little far out there for my taste.

i'm probably in the EXTREME minority of the WORLD, lol, but i'm in love with the Concept C. i think you're looking at the world ca. 2017-2020. i'm pretty sure this concept will be seen as prescient among future historians.

i've said this somewhere before, i don't think it was here, but as in art, if a design is immediately seen as beautiful, that means it's comfortable. if a piece of art, or car, or couch, or house, is comfortable to look at upon first inspection, that probably means it triggers warm memories, and if something triggers a memory, it is probably not reaching enough. true beauty, and art, should shock at first, stick in your 'craw', cause indigestion perhaps, and then upon closer inspection, it reveals itself, it embeds itself in your psyche, and after a while, will become comfortable and it's beauty won't be questioned.

of course, nothing is that cut and dry, what in life is? sometimes ugly is just ugly! i'm pretty sure cars of this proportion will become the norm in 8-10 years, and i'm so proud that Ford/Lincoln will be seen as leading the way forward! i love the little Caddy coupe, the Converj, but it is more of a car for 2010 than 2020. it appeals to senses we already love and doesn't really push any buttons. well, to car afficionados like us anyway, i'm sure to the old Caddy loyalists, they'd choke on their Metamucil if they saw it. ( and i can say that because at 51, i'll be on a high fiber diet by next week probably... )

i'm going to try a chop of a 2 door lux coupe version, and perhaps a sportscar too, of the Concept C, although the basic 4 door, 6 seat version is hot!

reminds me of a quote by a French artist (19th cen? can't remember now) that went something like:
"Good art is difficult to create AND difficult to appreciate"

I agree about differing time frames
and usually I stick to the 'known-universe' (for vehicles!),
*not just be cause it's easier to deal with*
but
because I believe in design trajectories/directions...

slight mis-steps today, varying by "just an inch off"
can mean missing by miles if that's not corrected
or LIKE FORD, can lead to drastic swings of experimentation vs over-conservativeism...

To me, jumping into the future that I see predicted by the C concept is equivalent to
showing a person the crutches/wheelchair they may need someday
or
even the amputation that theoretically may become necessary
(yeah I dislike 'it' that much)

feels it's like giving in to a worst case scenario?
rather than searching for a solution/cure.

I'd much rather see some radical form of weight-reduction + aerodynamics -- a papier-mache arrowhead -- than a luxurious sardine can which reminds me of the the Japan subway attendants who help "pack 'em in".

(some of) our cities may be turning-japanese but there's so much than the inner-city to 'america' & thanks to our (ugh)Media, that seems to be getting forgotten...
...our disparity/variety should imho bring about more Choice;
and tho my comments could be interpreted as counter-choice in this instance,
I just plain don't want cr@p in the menu.
