    Talking GMC Future Vehicles

    GMC Acadia
2011 GMC Acadia Denali: This high-end trim level will debut in late 2010. It features minor exterior and interior upgrades like 20-inch wheels, a unique front fascia and wood accents in the cabin.

2014 GMC Acadia: The next major redesign of the GMC Acadia isn't expected until the 2014 model year.

    GMC Canyon
2011 GMC Canyon: This is likely to be the last year for GMC's compact truck. GM has already announced that it plans to shut down the Shreveport, Louisiana, plant where the Canyon is produced by June of 2012. No firm plans for a replacement are currently in the works.

    GMC Savana
It's been on the market for 14 years now, so don't expect any big changes to GM's full-size van. As tougher fuel-economy standards loom, however, look for the introduction of smaller, more efficient engines throughout the Savana lineup.

    GMC Sierra
2013 GMC Sierra: GM delayed plans for its redesigned pickup after major changes to fuel-efficiency standards were enacted. Now it looks like we'll see an all-new Sierra by 2013. Expect to see a very different engine lineup as GMC works to squeeze more mileage out of its strong-selling full-size truck.

    GMC Sierra HD
After a mild refresh in 2011, the GMC Sierra HD isn't expected to get any major updates until the 2014 model year.

    GMC Yukon
2014 GMC Yukon: The fate of the Yukon is uncertain at this point. GMC may remake the Yukon into a smaller, crossover-type vehicle or simply drop it from the lineup altogether.

    GMC Yukon XL
2014 GMC Yukon XL: Plans for a redesign were put on hold as GM reassessed its position in the face of tightening fuel regulations. At this point, GMC is expected to go ahead with plans for a redesign based on the next-generation truck platform, but it's not expected to arrive until 2013.

I have always loved and admired gmc models and their parts. as far as appearance goes, it's definitely up there. and as far as performance goes, it takes the cake as well.

I prefer the GMC models myself looks wise. Its sad the GM is killing the compact trucks just like Ford. I hate to just see them hand this over to Toyota. Hard to believe the new Acadia is till 3 to 4 years away. Gm I think by their own admission is about a year behind on new products.

I think the F 150 and Explorer are the best looking in their class.
Expedition needs an update, and I do not really like the direction the Edge is going.
If the Escape looks like the Vertrak concept, then I hope the Edge redesign follows the Explorer instead.(or better yet...bring out the Bronco).

Is a pity nobody can do this for Lincoln.... a future vehicle list.

I think GMC is a redundant brand for GM. All the trucks GMC sell , have the counterpart in Chevrolet dealers. Why to keep selling this trucks under a separate brand?

This? Hopefully not . . . I am sure the managers at Lincoln could do a better one.

    Now, a list like this particular one . . . Lets see . . .
    1. GMC Acadia introduced in 2007 redesign expected in 2014. Oh well, Lincoln's CUV introduced in 2006, the MKX, was redesigned for 2011. I guess that is not a future vehicle anymore. Actually, I'll have one in my garage for the next 3 days . . .

    2. Then they announce phasing out a compact truck . . . OK, Lincoln is phasing out the Town Car, aren't they?. Also that their 14 year old big van will remain unchanged . . . Lincoln could say the same thing about the . . . hmmm . . . ahhh . . . wait. Maybe the 1 year old MKT and not for long.

    3. Then that GMC may or may not have a new pick up truck by MY 2013 and that their HD truck will remain unchanged. Lincoln will introduce a new MKZ for sure by 2012 as a 2013 vehicle.

    4. And finally GMC's big SUV's fait is uncertain . . . the Navigator.
Come to think of it, that is some list . . . boy am I glad "nobody can do this for Lincoln"

So that the non-Chevy dealers can have trucks to sell too. Is a very 1950s way of thinking . . .

    Re: GMC Future Vehicles

Many of us can't wait to get this latest model of GMC Canyon. What's with it that makes different from Chevrolet? The next generation GMC Canyon, according to the business, is not going to be a re-badged Chevrolet. The company is going to deviate from its regular formula a bit, by producing its own light pickup from the ground up.
