hmm, I've never gotten into changing ride height, Andrew. Would prolley screw it up if I tried...
    ...besides x 2
no one would know it's a FLincMoCo vehicle then
    &
with my adjustable height suspension, the car raises at low speeds or as it comes to a stop for easier egress (tho of course that CAN be over-ridden or changed via the fully-programmable driver/car interface)

    new TownCar: The Beginning?

a few changes, big & small

    edit Jan 2
I've been sorta looking for the opening shot of a new TownCar exposition
ever since Mr. Mulally mentioned that a "large" sedan would follow the MKC along with a "large" Suv (LINK) ... and saw this just today:

Carmakers line up for limo business - DetroitNews
GM, Toyota, Chrysler step in as chauffeur companies look at life after Lincoln Town Car

    December 21, 2012 - By Bryce G. Hoffman

A year after Ford Motor Co. pulled the plug on the venerable Lincoln Town Car, other automakers are racing to grab a bigger share of the potentially lucrative market for chauffeur-driven cars.
Ford is offering a "Town Car" version of its Lincoln MKT crossover, but it has failed to win over most of the big limousine companies that provide airport transportation and executive car service.
General Motors Co. is about to announce a new livery package for the 2013 Cadillac XTS. Last month, Toyota Motor Corp. said it would offer a livery version of its 2013 Toyota Avalon. And Chrysler Group LLC is readying a new livery version of the Chrysler 300 sedan.
All that is great news for companies like...

...Metro Cars, Michigan's largest livery company...is still trying to figure out where to go from the Town Car. Pardonnet said they tried the Lincoln MKT, but concluded it was "not a real good fit."...
...Because Metro Car only buys American, the Toyota and livery offerings from Mercedes and Audi are not options. And the company would still really like a rear-wheel-drive car...
...Until then, Metro Cars is replacing the Town Cars it retires with Lincoln Navigators.

Bryce Hoffman is not only a DetNews columnist/reporter but also the author of "American Icon ... Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company"
and (at least while writing that) had amazingly extensive access to FoMoCo execs
    so
Could this be a first Semi-Official HINT?

I am torn on this, I like the rear windows but it just does not work with that roof line. I would like to see a return perhaps of the breazeway roofline or a more formal one like on the 80s Town Car? It would really make Lincoln stand out and different while everyone else is doing coupe esque roofs or a modern interpretation of this something that not EVERYONE else is doing.

Is it too much to ask for an absolutely breathtaking Lincoln Continental, and a shared Lincoln Town Car?

    Re: Mission: LINCOLN!

^ an "absolutely breathtaking Lincoln Continental" = DEFINITELY!
dunno if you've seen me saying it, germeezy, but imho
"Without a Continental, 'Lincoln' doesn't even really EXIST!"
    but
    a 'platform-companion' TownCar ...NOTimho:
    I *do* want a D3/4 TouringCar longer+larger than the LONG-wlb S-Class/A8/7er/LuxoidLS
as a "plutocrat/oligarch" cruiser (which is what I've been trying to chop)
(& which wouldn't necessarily be "legal" for more than one generation-go-round...CAFE)
    but
for those who want to DRIVE a large-ish worldclass (global) sedan
    imho
something near 200"max OVL is the way to go
(actually splitting the difference between the 5/7ers or S/E-classes...
...I expect the "mid"sizers to KEEP growing)
    & NOT on the D3/4 platform for a global-flagship!!

Hope being "torn" isn't TOO painful, Andrew
cuz I'm taking that as a compliment + it sorta grew on me while gazing at it after being done awhile

this last one came about after googling gen2 1990–97 TC's and chopping their rear-roof onto a gen3 then messing around with a homemade ribcage grille (I will NOT post that ).

I think if you saw the rear end I envision (but haven't chopped) it might help ... if you look close, I gave it a Z-ish raised trunklid & intend that & the TL's to make a sorta sparetire hump outline without actually 'humping'
Imho all the pieces do work "OK" together - would like to mod the grille's shape a bit, get rid of the center-bottom's upthrust for more rectangularity

TY for the Breezeway suggestion but that's more artandcolour's thing than mine.
I'd be tempted to do a very high trunklid with a slit window like some earlier Mission choplets
    (also
not sure how this looks on others' monitors/screens (?) but
    on mine the Taurus's side sculpting disappears into the black paint giving a slab-sided look;
    which is what I intended)
kinda thought about separate-from-grille, circular/classic30's headlites after it was done but think that'd be weird and the slanty-eye HL's practically "say" Lincoln (to me) by now

what about a "raptor" version of the navigator and maybe something like the "platinum" version of the escalade
