TY for posting this, N.R.

but I have mixed feeling about the video
neg:
not enough Photography (with CAP "P") of the Z itself
fave frame:

pos:
if this is moving away from la-di-da froo-froo NONcar stuff like Lincoln's facebook

then it's a fairly good first itsy-bitsy step
tho
guess I'm looking forward to a blend of "6-VS-8" and an 'art show'/car porn when the Nano 2.7EB comes out

Nice video!:thumb:

However, I'm wondering when we will finally get a closer look at the new all-digital speedometer and how it can be set up - Cadillac already published details about CUE many months before it launched - and now I'm waiting for something similar from Lincoln.:nevreness:

I have to agree with 2b2, nice video but not enough footage of the car itself. Also, I thought the new MKZ had LED D/T running lights like so many other luxury cars? None on this car that I could see. The MKZ is a beautiful car from what I could see but so far I haven't seen enough to keep it at the top of my shopping list.

That antenna bothers me... all 3 MKZs at the NY Auto show didn't have it at all, and some had the sliding roof too. What is the deal with it?

The antenna bothers me, also. I haven't seen the new MKZ in person, but in most of the pics I have seen, the MKZ did not have the antenna. The antenna looks dorky and old fashioned on that car. I'm sure they put it there so it doesn't interfere with cars equipped with the sliding glass roof, but couldn't they come up with a better looking idea? I think an embedded antenna in the glass roof would've been better, and on models without the sliding glass roof, they could've used a small antenna on the roof.

ARRGGGhhh lost post, re-typing...

^ I don't have any problem with the aerial antenna at all - at least in pix - just see it as Purely Functional...
I've had more problem with those "sharkfin" doohickies

I don't think the "fully retractable" glass roof was a very good idea. I think a glass roof with a "partially retractable" panoramic glass roof would have been better. The antenna ruins the design of the car.
I started out thinking that
-- it'd be a big improvement over the ugly cutlines in the roofs of coupecabrio/hard'verts (esp on light colored cars)
-- that the PanoRoof would be 2 panels which would slide back over a not-too-long/sloped rearwindow, giving (upto) a full opening, tho not have to be SPF1000 letting the driver still see thru all 3 layers ... probably have 2 layers of roof-shade, one translucent, one opaque
so
I'm not really happy with ANYthing

but
am too paranoid for a car without a full-metal roof anyway
(preferably armoured!)
guess I'll hafta wait for StarTrek's transparent aluminIum

It will be interesting to see how many people will be buying them with retractable glass roofs.
I think it is a great concept - but here in Florida, you have to be practical as well. I'm pretty sure that the pano-roof combined with a thin shade and the lack of a rear-sunshade won't come in too handy in the brutal summer-heat.

I posted this video on another forum and their 'boldest' member said,
"Is it possible that my distaste up to now for the new MKZ is coming from a place more of misunderstanding?
Because this video makes the car look unique, elegant, slab-sided and clean, yet with drama... traits of the few truly classic Lincolns we can name...
...and a better phrase would be "utterly refined, modern, yet still an echo of past greatness"..."
