I had a 2003 Mazda Tribute ES AWD for 61K miles, and loved it. The only thing I hated was the transmission.
They are great vehicles. It is amazing how much stuff you can fit in them.
If my husband gets his new job, this is a contender for his commuter. He will have to drive 240 miles, once a week, to work. The Explorer Sport is also on the list. LOL
Congratulations, Cajun! I like the color, too. I'm glad to hear that we're not the only ones that haven't had any issues with MyFord Touch.

I've read several road tests where the testers complained about rattles and squeaks in the new Escapes. Anyone have any info on this issue? Couple of bad samples or something more?
Unfortunately, it didn't last. Wife began having issues with MFT a month or two ago. Started small with the frequency numbers not appearing on the preset buttons on the radio screen or when the screen was in 4-square mode. Then phone pairing issues and screen not responding to touch inputs. Another issue was the power hatch not working properly (would unlatch, but not open).
Took it to the dealer Monday and they downloaded an update to MFT, which they said would fix the issues. Dealer lubricated and adjusted the catch on the hatch door. Everything seems to be working now, but I'm a little disappointed in the glitches. I guess that's to be expected of a new model, though. Still very happy with the Escape. It now has 4700 miles and to answer your question, 1980Capri, no rattles.
