That certainly would have been something special in that category. What surprised me was that Ford decided not to offer HID headlamps on the Fusion - not even on the Titanium. Since the MKZ has LEDs standard, there would have been "room" for it. I guess Ford wants to make sure that the MKZ is - without any doubt - an upgrade.

Subject: 2013 Lincoln MKZ Update
Good news! "OK to Buy" (OKTB) has been granted on the 2013 Lincoln MKZ. This means we will begin shipping vehicles to your dealerships in the next few days. We know you, and many customers, are anxiously awaiting the arrival of this significant new car from Lincoln.
The purpose of this note is to update you on the MKZ production and shipping plans, and provide scheduling timing for verified retail orders.

imho, with a series of snow storms sweeping through between now and New Year's,
NOTHING is going anywhere until January.
(stupid time of year for a new vehicle launch imho)
AND
(afaik they're gonna do it again next year with MKC)

I drove by my local Ford dealer with a Lincoln sign on the facade, and they did not have any MKZ's available. I hope to drive one soon, and I hope that notwithstanding the relatively under powered ( to me ) V6 is the only part of the driving experience that the MKS easily shades the MKZ.
A dealer in California just posted a video of their first MKZ delivered for sale!
A quick blurb from the Detroit Free Press. Full blub at the link.
Early buyers get high-end MKZs
"Lincoln dealers won't be fully stocked with the new 2013 Lincoln MKZ midsize sedan for a few months, but most early buyers want the high trim levels or the hybrid version...
..."This rich mix is even more premium than we initially expected for our newest Lincoln vehicle, a very encouraging response from consumers," Czubay said."
