It makes the current MKX look a tad awkward even. But new MKX is right around corner, and that looks best of all.
When will we see something fully designed by Max Wolff? The split wing theme created by Peter Horbury needs to be thrown out. My gosh, Peter Horbury isn't even at Ford anymore, and they're still using that design theme.

I admit that I'm curious if there's anything new in terms of powertrains coming in the MKC/MKX. I'd like to see Lincoln get a displacement bump in general, because torque feels even better than horsepower in normal driving.

Although not quite available yet across the board, soon every Lincoln will either have more power, displacement, or both.

it'll be interesting to see HOW they do it

    we 'know' about the Nano-v6 & 2.3-4cyl
recently heard a 2.9 as well as 2.7 for the Nano
imho the 2.3/4 might mean a new version of the 2.0 too
    and
a possible 1.5 liter rumored to be a new 3cyl, tho there could be a new version of the 1.6 engine block: maybe 1.5 too, maybe something else?
    plus
I'm still ranting for ALL Lincoln drivetrains to be variously electrified - mainly to make them all V-Awd ('thru-the-road' virtual-Awd).
Think Lincoln is perfectly positioned to out-Tesla & out-Fisker any other American mfg. by doing a lot more before pure-electrics are ready for primetime.

The design is fine and unique, not some played-out shield look. It looks great on the new mkz and even better on forthcoming designs.

I am amazed at what you have heard, let's leave it at that.

While the design theme doesn't necessarily blow me away, I don't hate it, but I do expect a different design direction considering that there's a new design director and team.

just thinking about what's coming (or COULD be coming) for Lincoln, imho they're gonna save** the radical style-stuff for future-radical changes

** or more accurately, 'build up to" some BIG changes after the MKC

Re: Lincoln: Dead Brand Walking, or Signs of Life?

    All I'm asking for:

    By MY15, the MKZ has

    1) A Nano with at least 350HP
    2) The "bespoke" program with a full leather dash and perhaps a suede headliner and piano- or carbon-trim
    3) The Handling-Package available on the Preferred trim-line

Those would be my three wishes for a perfect MKZ.

And if Lincoln wants me to jump for joy, they figure out a way to let me order the pano-roof together with the rear-sunshade. But hey, that would only be the icing on the cake and optional..
