Could this be the RWD personal luxury coupe we've been hearing about?

It’s not a journey. Every journey ends, but we go on. The world turns and we turn with it. Plans disappear. Dreams take over. Yet wherever I go, there you are. My luck, my fate, my fortune. MERCURY. It's inevitable.

I think the days of wondering if Lincoln will have RWD cars are gone.
This is the Mark IX(albeit smaller) we've been waiting for.![]()

Interesting find. But since we don't even see a concept yet, this vehicle is probably very far off. Over 5 years at least - right? I'd love it if the "personal luxury coupe" made a comeback but I just don't know if it would be for "me" in today's terms. The CTS Coupe is nice (I really like it) but it's too small for me. My idea of a personal luxury coupe is Cadillac Eldorado or Lincoln Mark VIII... Long doors, plenty of room inside... That's personal - yet still luxurious. A small interior, to me, isn't luxurious.

The coupe is now less than 3 years from hitting the lots.

I'm not sure. I think 2016MY. Ausrutherford knows, though.
I agree. There really isn't any true "personal luxury coupes" below $100,000 anymore. That could be a great opportunity for Cadillac and Lincoln. Perhaps, Lincoln could build one with a $65k base price.
The car pictured above will probably have an interior slightly larger than the Mustang. It will definitely have "personal luxury coupe" characteristics.

imho no FoMoCo vehicles requires even 36 months from greenlighting to Job1
otoh
imho some of what we hear about (not the LincStang, more the Continental) are ongoing "studies" that FoMoCo is pretty darn sure they'll build but haven't quite been greenlighted yet
& some of those studies could already have gone on for years (thinking Tbird and the flap at/from another forum a few years back)((edit: and the Long Wheelbase MKS!!!!!!!))
we NEVER saw anything identifiable for the MKC until the embargo was broken the day before its unveiling.
Since a Mustang body (OR Fusion) could probably hide the LincStang's test mules . . .

Well three years would certainly be nice. I just hope it's a truly "luxurious" coupe and not something small. I'm not sure how the CTS Coupe's dimensions compare with cars like the BMW 6-Series or Mercedes CL (four door coupes) but that's the kind of coupe I'd like to see at Lincoln (and even Cadillac)...
