    Re: Lincoln Super Bowl ad

The commercial was more like something you would see for Kia or Subaru not Lincoln.

So Lincoln is using Jimmy Fallon because Acura used Jerry Seinfeld last year??? Too bad the CapitalOne baby wasn't sitting in the MKZ.....she would have said "NO! to the commercial"

I would have done a commercial to introduce the "Black Label" whatever that will be.

Elegance and sophistication are Lincoln qualities not silly and stupid.

    Re: Lincoln Super Bowl ad

I saw both Lincoln ads - the (much) shorter version of the Twitt ad fortunately cut most of the stupid out of it imho so it and the Phoenix ad didn't do any harm imho
    &
    saw elsewhere that (per Edmunds)
Lincoln user consideration +811% during the game
LincolnMotorCo "brand" also shot up +518%
    overall LincolnMotorCo "score" +59%

no source for those numbers / whatever they mean

note for next year: pre-plan tweets for any emergency/live situations like
Oreo tweeting during the blackout that you can still "dunk in the dark"

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    edit
    a different source: PRNewswire
Model - Ad Title - Share of Lift - % Increase in Prospects
    Lincoln MKZ - Phoenix - 42% - 5800%
    AUDI S8 ----- Suspect -- 3% -- 1391%
    GENESIS ----- Excited -- 4% -- 412%
    KIA Forte ---- Hotbots -- 5% -- 394%
    Sorento - Space Babies - 32% - 379%
    Santa Fe ------- Epic ------ 6% - 136%
    Santa Fe -----Don't tell --- 3% - 72%
    Santa Fe ------- Team ----- 3% - 57%
    RAV4 --- Wish Granted --- 1% - 31%
    Sonata --------- Stuck ----- 0% - 3%

The Lincoln MKZ commercial succeeded in capturing the highest increase in prospects, at almost 5,800%, and commanded a 42% share of all incremental prospects generated for individual models during the entire game, a major boost for a brand in the process of being reinvented. This was followed by the Audi S8 with a 1,391% increase in prospects, Hyundai Genesis increasing 412%, followed by Kia Forte at 394% and Kia Sorento at 379%.

It’s not a journey. Every journey ends, but we go on. The world turns and we turn with it. Plans disappear. Dreams take over. Yet wherever I go, there you are. My luck, my fate, my fortune. MERCURY. It's inevitable.

just thought I'd mention that I've seen the Phoenix commercial a good number of times (6?) since the superbowl...

    ...tho NOT the other

in related news, I've seen a few posts that Z's have finally arrived at dealers near Phoenix & Detroit

I liked the Phoenix commercial but not the Jimmy Fallon commercial.

Did anyone see the new commercial for the MKX? It shows a couple driving a 1941 Lincoln Zephyr sedan. The vehicle changes into the MKX. It's possible that we will see more transformed vehicles of the past into the current models? Town Car into MKZ, What will be used for MKS, MKT and Navigator?

    yeah, TurboS40
I've seen that a few or more times too. Thanks for bringing it up.

I *like* these transformation thingies so far - nothing "stupid or contagious" about them, & giving a nod to the past (even if they're not as inventive as the StarShip ads)

Just hope they don't waste the Kennedy Continental on anything less than an MKS with NEW sheetmetal
