Wasn't this the same guy who said they would need to sprinkle holy water on Lincoln for it to live on?

Not so it could live on. You sprinkle holy water on dead bodies, he was saying it was over for Lincoln.

agreed. I think he held back little and expressed his true feelings even while recognizing and seeing through Cont's potential of what could make it to production (which is probably about 95%).

As for performance potential, I see pretty competent machine, according to the specs.

This is the first time however that I've heard him de-emphasis the importance of performance in a luxury car. Performance for me must not come at the expense of comfort and serenity, but confident performance is still important.

I would not gush over the Continental just yet, a concept is still a significant flight of fancy and the production car will be significantly more pedestrian. I'm sure it'll be a good car, but we are not talking Bentley money here which the Continental Concept replicates.

Personally I don't care at all about the Continental from a consumer perspective, it's not my personal style and I consider large sedans to be outmoded, but it's a flagship for Lincoln and should represent their best effort to date. I'll wait for the Aviator which I'm sure will be much nicer
and Ill wait for the new Navigator
The first Navi was the reason I started to love the Lincoln brand so I have more than high expectations for the next one!
