Buick Encore Spied

GM has an all-new Encore and Trax on the way for 2020 based on a new platform. A prototype has been spied for the first time.

This might give us a good preview at where Ford could be heading with a follow-up to EcoSport early next decade.

Re: Buick Encore Spied

...the new Encore...will...ride on an updated platform thatís currently found on the Chevrolet Bolt. Expect the Buick Encore to grow in size, while its exterior styling will follow in the footsteps of recent Buick models. The new platform will also help the Encore shave some weight.

Performance should be improved on the next-generation model with the turbocharged four-cylinder engines getting a boost in power. An even more powerful variant to compete with the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40, models that offer over 200 horsepower, is also a possibility.

Inside the cabin, look for a next-generation infotainment system and other new comfort and convenience features to make the Encore more competitive in its segment.

if built on the b-b-B-Bolt

Re: Buick Encore Spied

That's what I would assume, Ford tried this strategy with C-Max but it didn't quite work out because the technology was too under developed and the platform inadequate.
