Re: Camaro going away?

NG Camaro development has not even begun yet, still four years off.
Scuttlebutt is saying delayed 18 months.

Re: Camaro going away?

Oh my God! Bad news, of course. The Camaro-Mustang rivalry it is one of the most important events for the automotive world of America. If the Camao dies, this rivalry dies and Ford would have one more reason to let the Mustang die too, at least in the way we know it today. I think Ford is looking for alternatives to replace the current Mustang with another type of vehicle that inherits its DNA, but in another package.

Mustang did just fine between 2002 and 2009 when there was no Camaro.

I would say Mustang continues to do just fine.

Seventh-gen Chevrolet Camaro reportedly delayed, not cancelled
While the name won't die, it allegedly won't be updated for a while

Recent reports of the possible cancellation of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro are being challenged by new information from GM Authority, which suggests the nameplate will live on and a seventh generation will happen — but not for a few years.

Re: Camaro going away?

Next year, Ford will be adding V8 Coyote hybrid as an option on Mustang, just imagine a V8 Mustang that suddenly becomes a lot more Euro-friendly with a lot lower CO2 number.

GM is still stuck back in the early 2000s trying to beat BMW...
