Re: 2019 Ram 1500 spotted

That looks awful, like a terrible alternate universe Chevy combined with a F-150 rear end. Even the ridiculous unibrow chrome strip on the hood...GAH that's awful in every way. The saddest part however is that they've completly given up on their awesome design DNA for some hodge-podge of other Detroit trucks. It'll be fine I"m sure once we see other variations of it, but it's boring.

I still think the Chevy/GMC is going to kick some serious butt however, GM hasn't missed a beat yet and I'm convinced they are about to drop a huge hammer on the F-Series.

Although I am certainly not surprised by your comment, I am curious what makes you think so, given that the freshened Ford has every advantage possible, and yet GM has changed nothing.

He's talking about the redesigned models. But still I don't see what sort of "huge hammer" they can drop.

I'm curious to see the size of the new Ram. Maybe they will reverse the trend of the trucks getting larger. Tailgate and rear bumper looks the best of what's currently available.....IMO.

My guess is that he means that the truck with be aluminum and come with a twin turbo V6 - totally new idea! lol

The only thing that GM can produce to beat the Ford F-Series is a flying truck with an engine that use water as combustible. GM is late light years in the pick up truck bussines compared with Ford.

Re: 2019 Ram 1500 spotted

Ford is kicking ass with the F-Series and deservedly so, but they've been unchallenged for a long time and GM has been very ambitious, it's hard to ignore that with the excellence of GM's current product onslaught. It's hard to imagine they aren't up to the challenge on a product this important and I'm not going to pretend I have the imagination of the engineers who have been working on this response.

In the end it's good for Ford to be kept on its toes and GM is their best foil in the US and China.
