Why does nobody acknowledge that this is aimed for the Edge? Why is the most expensive and exclusive competitor the analogue? It's just annoying to me that Edge isn't noticed more since it's still fairly alone in the market and now suddenly everybody wants a piece after Ford has been there for 12 years.
Anyway, VW's biggest problem in the US has always been that it thinks one-size fits all which was never the case for cars in the US. But Crossovers are another thing, they are more profitable and universal. So Crossovers will probably be VW's way back to relevance here. Atlas is certainly an outstanding effort.
