Re: 2020 Cadillac XT6

The Cadillac XT6's styling lacks any form of character or personality, it's just plain generic.

I think Kia's Telluride looks even more like a Cadillac than the XT6.

The Kia looks more interesting.

...I think the Telluride looks more Jeep than Caddy. Caddy has been sharp creases and angular styling since Art & Science 15 years ago. They have softened since the beginning, but the Caddy is definitely Caddy. And, their interiors are intended to be a bit starker on purpose, though people claim that makes them less luxury. I beg to differ, the tech differentiates modern vehicles, not leather on the dashboard. I'd rather have night vision than quilted stitching on my seat, and that is where Caddy excels. ****, night vision is a $2500 option on the Germans.

I'm more bummed that Caddy only offered up 250 CT6-Vs for sale this year and they sold out in a few hours. I was actually interested in that car. I guess Caddy made my decision for me. Dumb asses, can't sell 600/mo, but offer up a measly 250 Vs?

Well I'm assuming thats because the CT6 is getting killed off.

...GM announced the CT6 was not EOLed, but production was simply transferring to another plant...with China the least favored option.

It's not ugly but nor does it look particularly upscale. My first reaction to it was that it's rather bland. Some people are drawn to bland but I don't think this is a design that does anything positive for Cadillac as a brand.

Re: 2020 Cadillac XT6

I like where Cadillac is going with their front end styling, but the rest of the vehicle is underwhelming to say the least. Boring is better than offensive for sure, but it seems to me they could have been a little more original. I'm troubled by Car and Driver's comments regarding the disappointing interior materials and quality. It'll sell because it's a Caddy people hauler that most people can park in their garage, but it's not going to win many comparison tests. Opportunity missed.

Interesting. Cadillac is praising the great 14-speaker sound system available - the Avi can be had with 28...

Re: 2020 Cadillac XT6

To my eyes, it looks like...well, it looks like a top-tier Chevy offering. It's like a Trailblazer with all the option boxes checked.

At least it doesn't have the "running snot" headlight pods of its sibling...but it does have that treatment on the taillights, which is just odd.

From "Etch-a-Sketch" to "running snot", I kinda wonder what medications their stylists are on...?

If GM can justify Buick, and if Honda can justify Acura, we can damned well have Mercury back.
