Re: Revealed: 2015 Lincoln MKC

My feeling is that the interior shown in this launch is one of those black paks etc option that was shown on the MKZ.
Curious what the standard interior looks like.
Overall the exterior looks very good.
I am quite surprised that it is still a year away from the showrooms.

Great job Lincoln! This is a beautiful CUV with best in class looks. I can't wait to drive one next summer.

it won't surprise me too much if they *announce* something about a hybrid coming (eventually) at the LA show...

...I'd still like to see a 2.3 Atkinson instead of "Ford's" 2.0

Re: Revealed: 2015 Lincoln MKC

I don't think we'll get a hybrid out of the MKC anytime soon. The benefits of a hybrid SUV may not be there and possibly why the Escape never got the treatment. Ford does everything for a reason that may not be clear to everybody.

A hybrid crossover of some kind may still be coming to Lincoln, similar to the C-Max. And it's possible the Edge/MKX will get the hybrid treatment.

My only complaint is that Lincoln still uses some of the Ford parts bin switchgear (such as the headlamp control on the left of the wheel).

As long as it works great, with nice tactile feel and feels durable enough that it will last forever….I am fine with it. Is that really an issue with you? Heck, the gas & brake pedals could be identical, and not only would I never notice, I would never care about appearance of such minor things, that are barely seen in the first place.

I think most feel that way.

Who cares about wipers and turn signal switches. I've never heard anyone in my life say that they won't purchase a vehicle for those parts.

Please don't blow my Lincoln high!

38 yr old soon to be 39 XY chromosome.

It was confirmed that this was the first complete design by Mr. Wolff. Lincoln did really well with this MKC and it gives me hope about Lincoln's future products. I think some of things I've read on other websites and this have been knitpicking. I was hoping that at least here we would be able to enjoy this moment.

Re: Revealed: 2015 Lincoln MKC

Moving along, what is the minimum fuel octane that can be used in the MKC? 87, 89, 91? The Lincoln website says that 93 octane must be used to achieve 275hp. It was in the fine, fine print all the way at the bottom of the site.

But seriously, you spend how much on the MKC vs the Escape and you have the same switches as in the lesser vehicle? There should be more Lincoln-Level design for the details inside.

Anyone see this picture on the website?

I like the look of that! I am guessing you will be able to change the colors like other Lincoln products.
