Re: Lincoln Continental Concept

About the only thing I really don't like on this (except for the FWD, of course ... ugh), are those wheels.....

Bentley designer who bashed Lincoln leaves - Automotive News

FRANKFURT -- Bentley's design chief, Luc Donckerwolke, a 49-year-old veteran of Volkswagen Group who headed design for three brands, including Lamborghini and Seat, has left the carmaker, VW said, without citing reasons...

...Donckerwolke, Bentley's design chief since 2012, made headlines in March after he slammed the new design of the Lincoln Continental as a copy of his Bentley Flying Spur, sarcastically asking the troubled U.S. premium marque on Facebook, "Do you want us to send you the product tooling?"...

They've actually grown on me and the car is going to lose a lot of presence once smaller whee's are fitted.

Not exactly a George and Weezie kinda move. On the other hand Hyundai could really use some real world designs, they tend to be either too derivative or to out there.

Re: Lincoln Continental Concept

So he criticized Conti Design as being too much like Bentley, yet chooses to move his career to the brands that copied, literally, every single design from other automakers, while making no apologies about it.

Good for him.

Re: Lincoln Continental Concept

When I read about him leaving I couldn't stop laughing, but I do understand his point. I do love the Conti, but there definitely is a ton of Bentley DNA in there, several character lines are in almost the same exact spot. Still it is what it is, now if they make a habit of being so similar to other brands there may be an issue.

Re: Lincoln Continental Concept

These mule shots look quite a bit better than the last set, I think the wheels are larger giving a better look. That is one big ass car!

While I don't disagree with you about the some of the lines they share, when I look back I can't help but to believe they took a little from the 90's continental as well.
