A+ for Lincoln. That blue interior is hot. Love it.

That's what I don't like about the trunk, I feel like it's taking up a lot of space that could've been used.

The trunk hing covers take up a lot of room, but people on Motor Trend forums used to whine about exposed hinges.

Re: Lincoln Continental NAIAS

In my opinion, the new Continental is a step forward for Lincoln - and for Ford which is willing to let Lincoln have this full sized model to itself.

This body design is really the best that they could do with what they were given, which is another hand-me-up platform. The side view photos accentuate the awkward proportions that plague large FWD sedans (yes, Audi too). Aside from the dull, derivative and unoriginal new grille, the car is smartly designed. Looking at pictures only, I'd have to say that they nailed the interior. Congratulations to Lincoln.

I think it is obvious that this car is a placeholder and not the big splash. It is a signal to the marketplace that Lincoln is going to be a serious player. My hope is that Lincoln will gain traction and profitability with its SUVs and that the CD6 Conti will be Lincoln's real game changer.

= a fore(star)shadowing/fore*shadowing exactly the meme I've been needing

not 99% sure about that = another reason I want to know the Wlb

mostly differ about the grille-INSERTs
IN-love with StarShadow
& Z-weave is a near-brilliant derivative...
...I'm just (FOREVER) hoping for a brilliant-logical assortment/stratification of grille designS

Re: Lincoln Continental NAIAS

Wonder if the Continental trunk has 60/40 pass through like the E-Class sedan does?

I am use to having a pass through for long items and things like my bicycle and other stuff I buy at home improvement stores and at Costco like TVs. I am not going buy this Continental if only has a ski size pass through. In these days; I expect a luxury car to have this and f**k the rigidness argument with today's new materials like carbon fiber and new structural engineering techniques! They are not only competing against other luxury sedans but against CUV, SUVs, pickup trucks, etc....

I also don't want to be charged over $500 for this option either! It is totally stupid for a luxury sedan to not have a full size pass through rear seat opening! It opens up the car to do more life style living and this is such a no brain in opening up the functionality to do stuff!

Nice comparison pictures. I think the biggest difference between concept and production is that the production version consists of more sharp edges whilst the concept is more angular/round at critical points. Also, the concept seemed to be much wider especially the rear haunches. But overall I am very impressed how well the design was transitioned from concept to production. Lincoln has a hit on their hands.

I guess this will depend on the configuration. On the standard, it might. If you opt for the rear seating package with ventilated/massage/adjustable seats, I'm pretty sure it won't.
