I'd say the overall look of the exterior is about there (though I think it'll actually benefit from the concept to production transition. The interior I'd say the dash shape is largely what we'll see in a production version (I too am a little disappointed by the tablet-style nav screen), though obviously toned down.

I imagine the Gull Wing doors will go. The steps, I don't know. The "terrain management" type of system was suspected, but is a lot more sophisticated than on the Explorer.

Love the sides and roof line. I am sure the Grille looks less "heavy" in person, which is the same on the Continental.
Yeah, the gullwing doors aren't production. The steps, I highly doubt too, as they fold out of the bottom 1/3 of the gullwing door. We'll see normal doors and a single step like the current model has.

Re: Lincoln Navigator Concept

Bouncing back and forth between being impressed, and not. Hate the doors but understand why they did it for the concept, I think the grill is a tad to large, and while I love the greenhouse, here we go again with the borrowing, this time from Land Rover. Hopefully the dash design finally signals a move away from the cockpit theme that went out of style many years ago, outside of that there really isn't anything on the inside to take away.

The have the basis for a phenomenal advance of the full size SUV! Unlike the Continental, they have no excuse for watering this exterior down much.

I too am disappointed, I don't really dig the "Contientalfied" styling. And I think the concept should have been more in line with the Contiental concept which was more true to earth. I also agree that the Gator should feature a V8, that's a personal preference but a preference I associate with genuine luxury vehicles

welcome to the forum, Lincolnlover1

re: a v8, who knows..
but
re: this concept, imho they not only ADDED a lot of showcar stuff,
I believe they SIMPLIFIED the styling from what the production Navi will have (almost the opposite of what happened with the MKT)
so far
I'm VERY intrigued

really looking forward to non-official then RealWorld fotos!!

A V8 has no benefit over this engine, none, zip, nada. Even the awesome GM 6.2 in the Escalade makes it's power at higher revs, the 3.5T is a low end monster, perfect for big, heavy vehicles.

Re: Lincoln Navigator Concept

And there is a little too much borrowing from the Range Rover also. Borrow alil but also do it so it's not as noticeable. The blacked out pillars and side rear end/bumper design was stolen directly from RR
