Re: 2019 Ford Focus Revealed

I wonder how the ST-Line sedan is going to translate to the US? SES? Sport model?

Will we get an ultra-luxury trim based on the Vignale (Platinum?)

The wagon has as much or more cargo space and folded rear cargo space than the mini-CUVs. it is also more usable floor space, as it is wider and longer vs taller.
If I had a choice, I would easily choose the Focus Wagon over the Ecosport.

I really like the Focus Active crossover. Much better IMO than an Escape. Pretty sure we are getting it here in the states too. Lots of pics here,

I bet we get the Active trim here too - just hope they make it available in Wagon AND hatchback versions.

I just hope they add AWD, which would make the Focus line an almost stand-alone Subaru competitor.

Also, because a smaller, sporty, AWD wagon would be a great complement to my Flex. Just sayin'.
2b2 and Falc'man like this.

If GM can justify Buick, and if Honda can justify Acura, we can damned well have Mercury back.

Engines were also NOT announced, but one would assume it would be whatever is the volume-selling engine. Perhaps the 1.5-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost? Ford did announce there will be a new eight-speed conventional automatic in place of today's slightly wonky dual-clutch automanual, though again, its pairing with all-wheel drive adds another wrinkle to that question.
from Topnotch's Ford-France info one $1000euro option is:
534A - Suspension Active - available on 1.0EB 125hp & 1.5-EcoBlue 120hp - 5door only -
- Titanium, ST-Line, ST-Line-Business, Vignale
disclaimer: it'd be pretty easy for me to miss/mis-interpret stuff

I think there should be an AWD option for the ST, sitting between the standard ST and the RS.

I doubt we get too many choices in the US, likely going to simplify the lineup like they did with the Fusion. Assuming well get S, SE, and Titanium at first with the ST added later. The Activ is almost a sure bet as well.
