True.

In the real world nobody gives a crap of the percentage of soft-touch materials there are inside a vehicle, most of these surfaces are only touched when cleaning the interior of the vehicle.

The new RWD-based architecture is something way more important.

The 2020 Explorer isn't perfect but the positives (big ones) outweigh the negatives (cosmetic stuff).

In the real world nobody gives a crap about RWD!!! Just look at sales of the Durango compared to the competition?! If people truly cared, Dodge would have a sales winner in their hands - instead the sales rank for 2020 looks more like this:

- Highlander
- Grand Cherokee
- Explorer
- Pilot
- others...
- Durango

What does this even have to do with the 2020 Explorer which wasn't on sale during Q2?

If you think something like the Highlander is superior because of sales numbers, good for you.

Out of curiosity, what's the brand of your current daily driver and what brand are you considering for your next vehicle purchase?

Of course, the best moment to evaluate the sales of a vehicle: when the 8 years old model reach the final months of existence and the new model is starting production, with a minimum inventary!. You are very fair, dear HELLboy!

And you need to learn that for Ford is not about volume, is about profits. That is why the prices are higher and the sales lower, but the profits grown... Volume is for ordinary and cheap products like Toyota, Chevy or chineses brands...

You DO know the Highlander is also being replaced right?! Orders for the 2019 stopped in Q2 in preparation for the 2020 model...same kind of transition Ford did with the Explorer, push lots of 19s out to dealers and get ready for the 2020s.

The Toyota Higlander will go to the USA market later, as a 2020 model year... maybe in the first weeks of 2020...

And this is what Motor Trend ( https://www.motortrend.com/news/2020...asons-to-care/ ) say about this appliance: "Hey, guess what: Hybrid family crossovers don't need 306 hp. Sounds obvious, right? For the 2020 model year, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid shifts its focus, becoming less powerful, likely more affordable."

I said: trinkets are sold in large volumes ...
