Re: 2020 Ford Explorer. Begin the reviews and comparo

If I had a dime for every time a troll claimed Toyota, and even Nissan, would take over the truck segment from Ford and GM, just like they did with sedans.......I would be wealthy. Completely fell on it's face. And this fool wants us to believe it is inevitable, yet again.

Ugh

Just stop troll.

Maybe you need a refresher —

Toyota Corolla first....then Camry killed the Taurus, then the RAV4 killed the Escape, then the Highlander killed the Explorer.....there’s some history eh?

Go away useless troll.

Or, stay on topic. You clearly think Ford efffed the pooch with new Explorer. Tell us what they did wrong.

I already did — cheap interior, unrefined powertrain and high price

In 2007, they set out to make the RAV4 the best selling small SUV in the US....and they did it....

Now their new target is to become #3 in the pick up truck segment...they are hard at work to make the next Tundra affordable and modern, including new full hybrid powertrains...

Somehow through all of that, they still managed to remain the most valuable company in the world...you should see graphs and comparisons with the numbers, it will scare the crap out of you.

And a practical example ó my friendís gf had a Focus sedan, she enjoyed the car but when she went to swap it for a different sedan, she ended buying a Civic ó> I am sure there are millions of customers out there doing the exact same thing

This is exactly what Ford is doing, choosing the segments where they can compete and win. But for you, HELLboy, this is valid for Toyota, but it is not valid for Ford ....

Something interesting in a porn pages?

Profit is job one.
Sales crown is job two, at best.

If you follow that rule in todays crowded cut throat market, you might survive.

Re: 2020 Ford Explorer. Begin the reviews and comparo

The one complaint I have with the new Explorer is the driver accelerator pedal, it is hinged to the floor and you no longer can move it away from you. If you are a tall driver, other than moving your seat far into the rear passenger area, your leg has to be at an uncomfortable angle for your ankle to flex enough to feel comfortable. Older generation had power pedals (including brake) and telescoping steering wheel which was beneficial to tall as well as short drivers.

I want Ford to compete in all segments...they have the engineering horsepower to do it, otherwise what’s left!? Trucks? I’ve shown you what Toyota has done to market where Ford used to compete and lead....trucks is now the only market remaining...

And don’t give me the bs about profits - last I read Toyota was one of the most profitable companies in the world.
