Bentley EXP 100 GT: The future of the brand?
Bentley has shown us the EXP 100 GT, a show car supposed to bring us an idea of what we can expect from the brand in the future. Of course, is an electric car with a very complicated and unelegant exterior, a rare interior and a general design stolen from Mercedes-Benz...
The exterior: very complex design, with many curves, scoops and hard lines. The proportions are horrible. Certainly, is an electric car, but the proportions are very weird : too long rear end with endless rear overhang... relatively short (for the entire size of the car) head. Is an EV, so, design a car with that in mind. But try to do it in a more elegant form, please!. Maybe the future of Pontiac describe better the front end, with those front and sides scoops (why? Aerodinamics?) or the future of Lexus, because that gigantic ( I mean really gigantic...) grille... for an electric car? Why a grille as big as a football field if you have nothing to cool?. Is a missed oportunity for the Bentley design team to remake the front end of the brand thinking in what to do with that front area in a car that does not need a grille. The rear end was the easier part of the car for the design department: they copied the entire rear quarter of the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 show car. They change the rear ligths for a more complex LEDs threads and voila! Ready!
The interior... oh the interior... no instrument panel at all... only a carved surface (wood?) and a rare cristal panel in the middle... nothing more. Maybe an alien tech at that cristal let start and drive the car.
Is a shame the result of what must have been a demonstration of genius and creativity to show the future of the brand.
here the link and the pictures.... there is a picture of the original rear end... the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6.

Really like the exterior design, toned down it would make a great production car. Plus cars like this I think are perfect for electrification. Smooth and silent.
