Re: May Results: Ford Motor Company

So people are willing to give up their SUVs now that they are paying about $20 more per week for gas.
Times are changing...I hope Ford can cut truck production in a way that it saves them money.
Looks like Fusion/Milan/MKZ are maxed out of production at 25K a month = 300K per year.
I never thought I would see Focus sell above 30K a month. They will fall short of what they need, as production won't be able to keep up.

Re: May Results: Ford Motor Company

Wow. I say congratulations on the Focus! Well done, Ford. I'm sure they wish they could build more.

The Taurus number is certainly encouraging, but isn't there a lot of fleet in that?

Is the Town Car officially discontinued? I ask this becasue I know they don't actually build very many any more.

To those advocating for the death of Mercury: Look at the Milan and Sable, why would anyone kill that?

BTW, the Toyotas Corolla and Camry zoomed past by the F series as the first and second best selling vehicles in America, respectively . . . A sad day indeed.

Why Ford need to kill a brand that have near zero cost and give a 300000 to 400000 units to the annual results???? Mullaly is smart, he will not do it...i hope that.
