Re: Ford, VW Merger?

Should be a cultural circus watching these two hard headed companies try to dance together. What a joke.

I don't think it will be quite the same. Right now it seems to be more of a shared production of maybe a model or two in the future. Think of it as when Toyota and GM made the Geo and Corolla at the same plant.

If Ford helps with Vans and they share knowledge on electrics. It opens the door for more possiblities in the future.

Re: Ford, VW Merger?

Originally it was supposed to just be a partnership on light commercial vehicles, which Ford dominates. I'm see more stuff saying it's looking like it's going to be more. Motor1 is talking merger too.

It's sounding like Ford could possibly make a US Amarok at MAP.

Ah ok...never heard of Prizm. It wasn’t sold in Canada. Not even under the Canada-only gm brand of Asüna.

Trust me you weren't missing anything. A girl I was uhh friendly with after high school had one. Had the same exact interior and everything. We used to joke about it how consumer reports would recommend the Corolla but not the Prizm cause of the badge on the front.

VW can. They happen to own Audi, Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc. VW - being just one brand within the VW Group - may be out of touch but they have some heavy hitter brands which are clearly in touch.
