Re: Lincoln Push Stand Alone Dealerships

I think is very important to the prestige of the brand. Stand alone or premier dealerships are night and day compared to combined dealerships. I'm used to visiting the gorgeous Galpin Premier Collection showroom in Van Nuys, which is a giant showroom that features Lincoln/Black Label, Jaguar, Volvo, Aston Martin, and Lotus. So in that sense, having Lincoln in the same showroom as other luxury brands is fantastic and the only exception I'd like made, Galpin did a great job. Otherwise, when I visit other combo Ford/Lincoln dealers in LA, it's truly depressing seeing Lincoln almost always in a little corner of the showroom or mixed in randomly with Ford products.

How would you guys feel about Lincoln opening up more Lincoln Experience Centers? I think having a few smaller ones in malls (similar to what Tesla has) would be great.

Current Car: 2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid
Recent Previous Cars:
2016 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid

No longer will people walk in to inspect a Lincoln and then walk over to see the much cheaper, well equipped Ford.

I don't think you want to overdo those, but I do think they'd be good to add more - show people that it's not the same old Lincoln.

I agree. The Ford dealer nearest to me is not in the best neighborhood. They bought out a Lincoln dealership in a better neighborhood, and combined the two in the Ford dealership. Now, it is too crowded, parking is terrible, the service entrance is shared, and used cars take up too much of the most visable outside display area. Lincoln (and Ford) deserve so much better.
