Re: 2020 Lincoln Aviator

Got some seat time for dash board fondling recently in the Aviator.
Lincoln has a serious hit on their hands. I was always tepid toward the large proportions of Navigator. Actually, all large SUV's have horrible proportions, because of their functional utility bias over style.

Can't wait to see these all over the roads.

Those are the numbers that were always out there.

The reason I brought up the 510 lbs. is that the guy in the video at 1:45 mentions 510 lbs. and the other guy confirms it.

I'm pretty sure though it will be more than 600....

Current rides:
2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid Black Label
2017 Audi Q7 Prestige

Re: 2020 Lincoln Aviator

On Twitter today they posted a pic of the Aviator and "avail with up to 600 lb-ft of torque". I still think it might be more!

Re: 2020 Lincoln Aviator

Imagine an F150 hybrid biased for performance/work. 600ftlbs sounds good and the best part is, will not cost you a fortune in fuel.

If this comes to fruition I will be a very happy man. I'm beginning to really appreciate Ford's strategy regarding these extremely powerful hybrids.

'18 F-150 EcoBoost, '05 Mustang GT 5MT; '16 Escape SE; '48 F-1 Stakebody flathead

They have been quite clear that they will electrify everything here very shortly. And the strategy works well. Why develop a boosted or larger displacement engine for more performance that always costs you more fuel.....when you can just add a quiet smooth hybrid system. And battery weight is way down and not a big impact on total weight. Not that boosting does not add more weight.

OMG!!!!! OMG!!!!!! Final specs

495 HP. 600 pound-feet of torque ! The Hybrid Aviator is in the supercar (and super SUV) arena! AMGs, Ms and Porsches SUVs get out of the road...

The base (can we call “base” engine to this beast?) engine made 400 hp with 415 pound-feet of torque

Amazing!

It's 630, not 600.
