V12-powered 2002 Lincoln Continental concept to be auctioned

V12-powered 2002 Lincoln Continental concept to be auctioned

The 2002 Lincoln Continental concept is set to cross the auction block in November at an event organized by RM Auctions.
The concept was unveiled at the 2002 Los Angeles Auto Show combining retro styling cues with a futuristic design. Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine developing 414 bhp (309 kW) and 412 lb-ft (558 Nm) of torque delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission all wrapped around in an aluminum & composite body

I think it doesn't:

inoperable electronics and a non-working engine. The vehicle is in the same condition now and can't be registered for road use in United States since it lacks the approval of EPA and DOT.

Interesting. Lincoln schedules the Continental Concept for auction in Nov, the same month as the LA Auto Show where we hope to see the production MKX or possibly a New MKS or Continental Concept.

The CT6 would be history and useless if this Continental Concept went into production with the V-12 and other modern updates including a 9 speed transmission..

This concept vehicle is "what a Lincoln should be". Big, luxurious, those 4 corners (no asian roundy edges here) and look how the trunk opens. One can only imagine the increased heart rate if made into a 4-door convertible.

Loved that concept, really wanted to see it lead to a production version.
