Cool! Refreshed Fusions and MKZs getting around. Idk why Ford would be bothering benchmarking a Chrysler 200 though...

The 200 is a nice car, on of the best in the segment when equipped with the V6 and AWD.

I'm more confused with the CTS there. There's nothing in that group that competes with the CTS.

Re: Ford/Lincoln Prototypes

Are we sure that the 200 and CTS didn't just get caught in the convoy?

Re: Ford/Lincoln Prototypes

V.O guy said the 200 had a #8 on it

could the CTS have been a V-series to compare with the 2.7EB Z-Sport?

Re: Ford/Lincoln Prototypes

It looks like the Fusion and MKZ are getting extensive makeovers for MY2017.

I could be wrong, but I truly do believe that many customers have a broader range when they cross-shop than we assume. Sure, some buyers will ONLY compare apples and apples, but if you're not hung up on FWD / RWD, an MKZ and MKS could very well be a consideration for a luxury buyer at the same time as a ATS and CTS. And even if that isn't the case, I think it's good if Lincoln is looking at the bigger picture and seeing what they SHOULD and WILL be competing against.

yup

s'why I make a big distinction between directly-competing
& what's cross-shopped (ie theoretically ANYthing at the extreme)(& in the reasonably/frequently cross-shopped can be somewhat broad)
