If FoMoCo was an Asian Mfg...

We've had a lot of "What If" threads about what kind of new models we'd like to see FoMoCo make
and sort of inspired by a couple posts today at BON from "jpd80" & "twintornados"

I started thinking about a new MGM plus a 4-door-coupe version of it called Sable plus a sportmodel, maybe with a std mega-BAMR-Vistaroof called Montego...
...then of course, there could be similar models based on the Milan plus the ones I'm personally most interested in: more variants based on the coming C557/tRacer...
OR
for Ford just substitute Taurus-Fusion-Focus + Falcon
for Lincoln substitute MKS/MKZ + LincStang & Continental + Kuga/Concept"C"...

It just feels like Asian Mfgs have been bringing out so many coupes lately or other variants,
yet all the requests-&-rants for more FoMoCo models keep being ignored and getting shot-down
by the general comments that they can't afford to build those niche variants
YET the Asians CAN?
so
What new models would you like if FoMoCo had the (apparent) budget/flexibility of an Asian Mfg??

Re: If FoMoCo was an Asian Mfg...

If Fomoco were an Asian Manufacturer, they would have a global Ranger, F150 would be sold on a global basis and the Expendition would have the off road prowess of Land Cruiser and be sold globally.

There is a certain short sighted way that North American Car companies think. Its very bad.

They still would be selling a new updated windstar and the Fusion would not be a North American Phenomenon. The Falcon would be global, Lincoln and Mercury would be Global brands, like Daihatsu/Scion and Lexus.

^ Thanks for taking my proposition seriously, NDW
&
for bringing up the whole truck/Suv side that I omitted
&
giving great examples of what I was trying to get at - that there'd
(probably) be so much more to choose from...
...which with my Mercury-fixation, well, you know

Im still waiting for my Everest Ford!

All in all Ford has done an ok job on the SUV front with the Explorer, Everest and T4 covering most of the world with the exception of the Euro19.

I wonder if he is merely talking about North America, because according to sources and spy shots coming from around the world, it seems to be pushing along.

Which ought to give some much needed volume and profits to Ford of South Africa and therefore FoA for some other projects. Hopefully, together with the Argentina plant, they can knockoff the Tacoma/Hilux
