Are you guys saying the ecosportís replacement is Baby Bronco? If not then thereís even more overlap.
No the Baby Bronco is based on the Escape so it's bigger than the Ecosport. I think people are just wanting the Ecosport to look more like the Baby Bronco.

Re: Ford Puma

Puma = EcoSport size.
I can't imagine that new EcoSport will not look like Puma.

Speaking of EcoSport, 2020 production supposedly started 7-1-19. Is it a carryover 2019?

Of course not. Its a identical "Carry-Over from its MY 2018 introduction to N.A. Other than the infamous "Yugo" it will be a stain on Ford for years to come. A 1 Ltr 3 Cyl Ecoboost Engine that averages a combined 24 MPG?A 5 year old Crown Victoria Police Interceptor gets that or better. No shame I gather. Of all the Mini CUV`s on the Market today in N.A. this deserves to rank dead last. Feel otherwise, give me a realistic offer and I`ll drive it to your driveway.

The last? No. In fact, the first half of the year climbed from the 9th to the 5th in the compact crossover sales list.

Is not a great vehicle, but the competition in America is worst than it...

No doubt due to all the large discounts trying to shift it, the Germans have learnt that filling out every niche possible makes sense so sure having an utilitarian shaped CUV is no bad thing but the Ecosport just can't hide its 3rd world entry level run around routes it is a woeful vehicle for the price charged. While west coasts tastes will not match the rest if the country in all the years it has been on sale I have seen a grand total of two on the roads. In comparison I have seen loads of HR-V, CX-3 and CH-R, the CH-R is certainly lacking compared to the the version sold in Europe but at least Toyota have the excuse that it was original intended to be a Scion so it was a bit late in the day to expand the options list when ended up having to be sold as a Toyota.

The whole push behind Ford not offering cars in the USA was under the pretense that CUV/SUV was a better option to sell over here as people where more prepared to spec a high optioned CUV/SUV vehicle rather than bare bones entry level car for better profits, so along comes a nice new CUV that comes with massage seats and a whole host of other nice optional upgrades that can pad out the bottom line so a perfect fit for that brief and it is not even sold here , the giant storage box in the boot would make a great place to stick a battery so they could even add a plug in hybrid to the range at a later date.

Ford sure has regressed to how it was when I first emigrated to the great nation 15+ years ago, where all the quality euro Ford cars where for sale down in Mexico while up in Fords home nation unless you wanted a pick up truck it was woeful outdated rubbish. At present the only future Ford vehicle I have any interest is the mach-e ev (or whatever it ends up being called) so lets hope they don't mess that up as everything else I like is not for sale or if it does eventually make it way across the pond will be bean countered to poverty spec. Ford USA appears to be staffed with an endless supply of dedicated workers and engineers run by the most dimwitted management.

Ford has not regressed. They are in the middle of remaking themselves, but not wasting time with low to no profit vehicles.
Sounds like a recipe for success to me.

Re: Ford Puma

This is much better than a Fiesta, and when Ford soon updates the EcoSport, I hope it is the direction they will go.

Re: Ford Puma

To those wondering, 22MY = early 21 launch
That's about 1.5 years away and probably half of that before we see a preview. Close enough for 'soon' for me, and nobody cares what trolls think.

Anyway, to those critical of Ford for not just waiting for an update before bringing over the EcoSport, Ford is selling plenty of them. Sales continue to climb. Ford filled a void that other manufacturers had filled, and combined with the Fiesta going away, combined with a CUV mindset, they did the right thing by not waiting.
